Wondering what to do this Spring Break? Come to the Palm Springs Public Library! We have four days of fun just for you. We kick off the fun Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with our Family Fun Fest. You will ‘PAWS for Fun’ at the Palm Springs Stadium (next door) where several organizations will have activities, games, and FUN! Each organization will have a booth with a fun craft or game and there will also be a petting zoo, a bouncy house and other fun entertainment.  Courtesy of Scholastic, there will even be a special appearance by Clifford the Big Red Dog!  The Friends of the Palm Springs Library will be giving each child a FREE BOOK, while supplies last.  Stop by the Library booth to play games, pick up the schedule for Summer Reading Program and receive your free book.

  • Palm Springs Sustainability Commission

The Family Fun Fest takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Parking is available at the Library or near the Palm Springs Pavilion just southeast of the stadium.

 

MAD HATTER’S TEA PARTY

Thursday, March 27, 2014 we will have our regular story time at 10:00 a.m. Even more exciting will be our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at 3:30 p.m. during our Bilingual Story Time.  Participants will make outrageous hats.

PAWS TO READ

Paws and Hearts

We are going to the dogs Friday, March 28, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Paws and Hearts Society will bring therapy dogs so that beginning readers or those who need reading practice can read to the dogs.  A sign-up sheet will be available at the event to ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to read.  This program will return on Fridays during Summer Reading Program in June and July.

FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE

Brave

Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. will be our monthly Family Movie Matinee.  This month’s feature film is “Brave”, rated PG.  All adults must be accompanied by a child.
