Players (plus Rocky) from the Palm Springs POWER baseball team to appear at the Library!

The Palm Springs Public Library will be hosting players from the Palm Springs POWER baseball team, and their mascot ROCKY, on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for a Youth Gaming  event as part of the D-I-Y Summer Reading Program.  Students in grades K – 5 are invited to come to the Library and bring their friends for an afternoon of gaming at the Library. Play Wii Baseball with the Palm Springs Power players; who will also be available for pictures and autographs.

D-I-Y Summer Reading began in June and continues through July 27th, 2012. Students of all ages can sign-up and participate at their own pace in programs designed for them! Read books from the suggested reading list or as part of a book club, complete activity sheets, attend gaming and movie programs or special skill building workshops! Adults can also join in the fun and be a good role-model for young readers! Attend a program, join a book club, and complete a summer-time BOOK-BINGO sheet available at the Library.
