The Palm Springs Public Library, with the help of the Desert Entertainer and Mix 100.5, are joining together with other non-profit, community organizations and some local businesses to present the 3rd Annual Splish, Splash, Blast 2010 Summer Carnival outside in Sunrise Park on Saturday, June 5th from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. It will be a FREE and fun time for families to come out and learn all about the activities available in the summer here in Palm Springs.
There will be games, arts & crafts, demonstrations and so much more! Mix 100.5 will be broadcasting live from the event and the Palm Springs Power Baseball team will have their inflatable slide ready for action!. Along with the Community Organizations there will also be food vendors and local businesses at the Carnival; something for everyone!
Each of the local organizations will have booths where the community will be able to get information about the programs and events available in the summer. The following businesses and organizations will be participating:

The Library at its booth will be focusing on signing up participants for the Palm Springs Public Library’s 2010 Summer Reading Fun Fest! Beginning June 5th and continuing through July 31st, this year’s theme is ‘Make A Splash—READ’, which will highlight water in all of this year’s programs. “The Summer Reading Fun Fest is a great way for families to read together and ensure kids continue learning and growing their reading skills through the summer”, said Barbara Roberts, Director of Library Services. There are programs for all ages, from toddler to adult, so everyone can sign-up (in-person or online) and participate!
